Im Sommer ist es voller Leben, denn an seinem kleinen Hafen legen die F\u00e4hren an, die Wanderer von Agia Roumeli, das am Ende der Samaria-Schlucht liegt, bef\u00f6rdern. Von diesem Dorf aus starten kleine Boote zum malerischen, kosmopolitischen und isolierten Dorf Loutro (es gibt keine Stra\u00dfe zu diesem Dorf; Sie k\u00f6nnen nur mit dem Boot reisen). Sfakia ist vom Meer aus sichtbar, dieses Dorf ist wie ein Amphitheater \u00fcber der Bucht gebaut. Mehrere Geb\u00e4ude traditioneller Architektur sind erhalten geblieben.
